Dr Andrew Stapleton
Game Experience Engineer

Dr Stapleton has been involved in game research for almost two decades.  Since the time of his doctoral study where he designed a game to help undergraduate students understand Einstein’s Theory of Special Relativity, he has pursued his interests in game design, game research and education.  He has published and presented his work both nationally and internationally, and has also spoken at game studios including Microsoft Game Studios (MGS) Game User Research group.

Andrew has experience in user research and usability (UsabilityOne), videogame training and development (Krome Studios), game and program design (Interactive Systems Inc), educational course design (Raffles, Swinburne, La Trobe, Curtin), broadcast television production (WIN TV) and educational media production (Classroom Video).  He was awarded a Telematics Trust grant during his time as University Lecturer and Research Leader in Digital Games (Swinburne).

Andrew holds a Doctor of Science Education (Curtin), Graduate Diploma of Sciences Communication (CQU), and a Graduate Diploma of Humanities (La Trobe) with a major in Media Studies and Bachelor of Science with Honours (La Trobe) with a major in Physics.

Ms Camille Wall
Business Development Manager

Camille has over a decade of Game Industry experience within Australia.  Her detailed knowledge of both game development and the Australian Game Industry makes her an important asset to PlaytoResearch.

Camille began her game industry career at Beam Software (formerly Melbourne House)—industry founding company of the Australian Game Industry—and remained in her position during the company’s transition from Beam to Infogrames Melbourne House, to Atari Melbourne House and then to its current incarnation as Krome Studios (Melbourne).  During that time she worked in the key roles of Executive Assistant, Office Manager and as part of the Human Resources Executive.

In 2002 Camille was awarded “Outstanding Industry Contribution” by the Game Developers’ Association of Australia in recognition of her work within the Australian Game Industry.

Camille has a double degree from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Economics and Education.  She taught extensively in the NSW Secondary Education system, before pursuing a successful career in the software and game industries.
